Mother and child on boat
This painting shows a young woman and a small child sitting in a boat. The woman, wearing a long-sleeved white dress, quietly holds an oar and looks away from the painting, while the child, also dressed in white, sits opposite her. Both are surrounded by water that mirrors the blue tones of the surrounding nature. A green tree branch leans over them. The style of the painting suggests the influence of Impressionism, with light brushes and diffused light.
