During the years 1886-1890 Vincent van Gogh completed seven different images representing poppies in 1887. It is said that he begun to focus much more on the different types of still lifes and landscapes and as they got into financial trouble and could not pay to models. The painting is very harmonious thanks to soothing green shades animated lightly just by tiny red blossoms.
