The painting depicts a man and a woman in courtly clothes sitting in a bucolic landscape. The man is wearing a white shirt with a waistcoat and wide trousers, wearing a red hat and conspicuously tilting a bottle of red wine into a glass. The woman wears a low-cut blue dress, her curls decorated with flowers. Their figures convey looseness and joy, and they seem to be enjoying a moment of relaxation together in a rural setting.
