Marie Antoinette, full name Marie Antoinette Joseph Johanna of Habsburg-Lorraine, was the daughter of Empress Maria Theresa and Francis I. In 1774, at the age of nineteen, she was married to the King of France and Navarre, Louis XVI. The young queen lived a very dissolute life, which led the common people to revolt, in which the royal couple was dethroned and imprisoned in Temple in 1789. Marie Antoinette was executed by guillotine nine months after her husband.
