Frida Kahlo (1907-1954). Mexican painter of world renown. Her style is characterized by the use of rich, vibrant colours. In her paintings, she combines the influence of Mexican culture with European Realism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. Many of her works are self-portraits emitting a strong inner pain.
