Constable became famous for this painting outside England (it was awarded a gold medal at the Paris Salon exhibition in 1824). The painting shows a hay wagon fording the River Stour (in whose valley many of Constable's paintings were made). On the left is the house of the artist's neighbour Willi Lott. The painting is exceptional for its vivid green, which Constable achieved by overlaying different shades of green and playing with light and colour. Prevailing color of this fine art print is green and its shape is landscape. This image is printed on demand - you can choose material, size and finishing.
