Eugene Samuel Grasset (1845-1917). Swiss illustrator and painter living in Paris. He was a pioneer of the painting style and design called Art Nouveau. He admired Japanese art. In the early 80s of the 19th century, he focused on graphics – he designed stamps, posters, cover pages of magazines, advertisements, and the like.
