The Great Masturbator (1929). The centre of the painting is a bust spread out on a coastal cliff in Catalonia. On the back is the tiny female nude that probably gave the painting its name. The woman's mouth is just beside the implied male torso, clearly referring to the idea of fellatio. At the bottom of the painting is the saranche, of which Dalí was panic-stricken. The interpretation of the painting can, of course, go on for several pages:-) The original is in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid. Prevailing color of this fine art print is yellow and its shape is landscape. This image is printed on demand - you can choose material, size and finishing.
