Jean-Louis Ernest Meissonier (1815-1891). French Classicist painter and sculptor. He became famous mainly for his paintings dedicated to Napoleon, his campaign and the military. During his life, he lived to see great fame and admiration for the precision, detail and craftsmanship of his paintings. He became very rich and could afford a luxurious life.
